Leah Oubre Robinson was born in Stade, Germany in 1975. She graduated with a B.S. major in chemical engineering and a minor in chemistry from Louisiana State University in 1997. Leah received a J.D. degree in 2000 from the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law, where she was on the University of Richmond Law Review.

Leah was introduced to patent law during summer clerkships at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. After graduating from law school, she entered patent practice with the firm of Leydig, Voit & Mayer in Washington, D.C. Her practice there involved managing a docket that included prosecuting domestic, foreign, and internationally filed patent applications for a variety of clients and in a variety of arts, including mechanical, chemical, chemical engineering, and pharmaceuticals.

After relocating to Richmond, Virginia, Leah began working as in-house patent counsel for NewMarket Services Corporation, which is affiliated with and provides legal representation for Afton Chemical Corporation, Ethyl Corporation, and their subsidiaries. At NewMarket, Leah was responsible for intellectual property strategy for a major product line of the company, which included defining patenting strategy, obtaining or providing opinions and counseling business leaders on how to proceed, preparing and managing European patent oppositions, drafting and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications, managing the product line's docket, and preparing secrecy and joint development agreements. She was also extensively involved in preparing and giving presentations on various intellectual property law topics as well as progress and update reports to business and research leaders. She also provided negotiation and litigation support, interfaced with opposing counsel of suppliers, customers, and competitors, managed and determined a need for the work product of outside counsel.

Since relocating to Knoxville in 2006, Leah has joined Luedeka, Neely & Graham where her practice emphasizes patent matters relating to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, licensing, agreements, clearance opinions, client counseling, and other related intellectual property matters, such as trademark and copyright. Her practice includes matters relating to chemical compounds, formulations, processes, articles of manufacture, design, fuels, lubricants, and the like.

She is a member of the State Bars of Tennessee, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and is admitted to the Eastern District of Virginia and the Fourth Circuit. She is registered to practice before the Patent and Trademark Office, and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Association and the Knoxville Bar Association.

Leah enjoys spending time with her husband, Grover Robinson, who is an ophthalmologist with Williford, Dawson & Robinson, and her daughter, Ava.
